Keyframe anything

The keyframe engine is the heart of AtomCut. If a property has a value, you can animate it — numbers, colors, gradients, effects, geometry, even the text content.

Two ways to key

  • Manually — click the ◆ diamond next to any property in the inspector to add a keyframe at the playhead.
  • Record mode — arm it, then just edit. Every change you make plants a keyframe at the current time. This is how you animate things that have no obvious slider.

Value types

Keyframes are value-typed: numbers interpolate, colors blend in RGBA, discrete values (like a font weight or the text itself) hold. So a gradient stop, a shadow's blur, or an EQ band can all animate the same way a position does.

Easing & curves

Open the curves panel to shape motion with real Bézier eased curves — drag tangent handles, lock time with , or apply easing presets to a whole selection. Non-numeric tracks show as a dope sheet you can retime.

Motion paths

Position keyframes carry spatial tangents, so a layer can follow a curved motion path on the canvas — drag the path handles like any Bézier.

Morphing

Path geometry is keyframeable too: key one shape, retime, reshape, and AtomCut morphs the anchors and handles between them — Rive-style shape morphing, built in.
